The VTech DS6222-5 is a mid-range five handset cordless phone system that can be expanded up to 12 handsets, with only one phone jack required. This system utilizes DECT 6.0 digital technology for better sound quality, security, and range than other cordless phone frequencies, and can store up to 50 calls with both Caller ID and call waiting features.

This device contains a digital answering system with up to 14 minutes recording time and remote message retrieval. The DS6222-5 is also WiFi friendly and will not interfere with wireless networks and other electronic devices in the household, resulting in better conversation clarity. Calls can be transferred directly from handset to handset, and users can also take advantage of the intercom between handsets - both features designed to minimize shouting in the household. A speakerphone is also incorporated so users can enjoy hands-free conversations. Additional features include 50 name and number phonebook directory, conference call capability, hearing aid compatibility, selectable ringtones, voicemail waiting indicator, and blue backlit keypad and display.
