When compared to another cordless phone by Panasonic, the KX-TG9344T, the KX-TG9381T has several advantages, such as support for Bluetooth headsets, and a silent mode, things which the KX-TG-9344T lacks.
The KX-TG9381T's phonebook transfer enables a user to transfer up to 600 names and numbers from a cell phone to the cordless phone's built-in directory using Bluetooth. The Silent Mode of the phone allows a user to set a phone so it doesn't ring. This way, the phone won't ring during a users slumber if it is set to silent mode, though the other phones will (unless they too, are set to silent mode). The KX-TG9381T also supports Bluetooth headsets, to enable a user to continue talking on their phone, while keeping their hands free.
