Panasonic KX-TG6441

$80.00 Released March, 2009

Product Shot 1 The Pros:Adding extra handsets to the main unit is quick and easy. Reception is excellent, no static or distortion. Speakerphone function is loud and clear.

The Cons:Requires a long initial charging period of 7 hours. Built-in menus are awkward, takes a long time to scroll through and find special functions. Holding it between ear and shoulder is tricky, tends to slip out.

Panasonic's KX-TG6441 is a mid-range base/handset combination cordless phone. It uses DECT 6.0 to minimize interference with other wireless devices. Both the handset and base have built-in speakerphones, and the base has its own dialing pad, making it possible to call from the base even if the handset is away from it.

The phone also has features like talking caller ID, talking alarm clock and battery indicator, as well as silent mode and a caller blocking list that can automatically give a busy signal to unwanted callers. There is also a built-in digital answering machine. Since the base has a speakerphone, the handset and base can be used as an intercom. The KX-TG6441 can also expand to include up to 6 total handsets, and Panasonic has several packages that include multiple handsets for this same base.
