Panasonic's KX-TG1062M is a mid-range combination package of a corded base unit with two cordless DECT 6.0 portable handsets. This is supposed to appeal to people who want to make sure they can make calls if the power ever goes out (if they are using this unit as the main house phone).

The system has caller ID and a caller blocking feature that stores unwanted numbers and gives them a busy signal if they call again. The handset can be programmed to enter silent mode at certain times if desired, and the system has a total capacity of up to 6 cordless handsets. Both the handsets and the base phone have speakerphones. The handset's battery life is about 12 hours of talk time per charge. Both feature backlit LCD displays and the cordless set has a backlit keypad. Both of the handsets, as well as the base unit, can be used as an intercom system as well.
